| The World Traditional Taekwondo Union (WTTU) was founded
by Eternal Grand Master H.U. Lee in the fall of 1990. The WTTU
is a branch of the Songahm Taekwondo family that also consists
of the American Taekwondo Association (ATA) and the Songahm
Taekwondo Federation (STF). The ATA encompasses member schools
in the United States and the STF includes member schools in
South America. The WTTU covers the remaining portion of the
world.
The continuing vision for this organization is to unite
martial artists worldwide in an organization that emphasizes
"Traditional Values," while utilizing the most advanced
concepts and philosophies in the classroom and in business.
The WTTU allows the instructor to focus more clearly in all
four areas of the martial arts business with proven programs
in marketing, sales, instruction, and business management.
At this time, the WTTU has schools in Canada, England,
Portugal, Germany, South Africa, Guam, Japan, Sweden, and
South Korea. Growth in the WTTU has been consistent and rapid
since its inception.
Our current Grand Master, Soon Ho Lee, knows that school
and club owners from all over the world are looking for
communication, support, and education. There are several
methods that Grand Master Lee uses to provide these services.
Members of the ATA/WTTU/STF staff travel extensively
around the globe to provide training in all areas.
Each year, Grand Master Lee hosts the Songahm Taekwondo World
Championships. This week-long event provides training in
Songahm Taekwondo, instructional methods, and business
practices.
The
Way of Traditional Taekwondo, the official WTTU magazine. This
gives the WTTU an excellent vehicle to communicate, exchange
ideas, and to announce new programs, services, seminars, and
events, as the magazine has done for ATA/STF members for more
than 12 years.
The
ATA website is another method that Grand Master Lee uses to
keep in consistent contact with current WTTU members as well
as encouraging communication with prospective members. www.ataonline.com.
